Ribét Academy

Parents

Overview

Ribét's parents are active and involved. They are as diverse in their interests and professions as the students they entrust to us. They help us with events and productions, serve as judges and mentors for the Science Fair, assist in the classroom and on the playground, help chaperone on fieldtrips, cheer everyone's academic success at Awards ceremonies and even help with school maintenance on weekends.

Our faculty wants parents who will partner with them in the education of their children. With the 2008-2009 school year, Ribét will be utilizing a new system – RenWeb – to aid in that partnership. RenWeb allows parents to use their internet connected computer to view information on:

  • Attendance
  • Daily Grades
  • Progress Reports
  • Report Cards
  • Transcripts
  • Lesson Plans
  • Homework
  • Missing Assignments
  • Discipline
  • Other Useful School Information

We also have two groups that parents can become involved in: the Ribét Parent Teacher Organization (RPTO) and the Ribét Education Fund (REF).

In June 2008, Taylor Glymph graduated from Ribét Academy after being here since the age of two! The senior class advisor asked her parents, Dr. Janalyn Glymph and Lt. Randy Glymph, to address the graduates at the Baccalaureate Ceremony. They were happy to do so and we would like to share their speeches with you. Taylor, by the way, is off to Duke in the fall.
