Ms. Tagui Damaryan

About: My name is Tagui Tina Damaryan and I am a social studies teacher at the Ribet Academy. My family and I immigrated to the United States from Armenia when I was 13 years old and settled in the beautiful city of Glendale. I attended Roosevelt Middle School and then Herbert Hoover High School. I still live in Glendale with my family. When I have free time, I like spending it with my family, especially with my nieces. I also like reading historical fictions and going to museums.
Education: I hold a Master of Science Degree in Education from Mount St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from California State University, Los Angeles. I also have a clear teaching credential in single subject (history). In addition, I have Associate Degrees in Arts from Glendale College and Child Development from Ashworth College.

How long you have been teaching: I started my teaching career as a preschool teacher and taught preschool for ten years. I have been teaching high school since 2009. I’ve taught at Lock IV Charter High School and Optimist Charter High School before teaching at Ribet Academy.

How long you have been at Ribet: I have been teaching at Ribet since 2019

Your favorite part about Ribet: My favorite part of Ribet is small classroom sizes that allow teachers to get to know their students and provide individual assistance to help them meet their academic goals.
