Mrs. Kateryna Kolesynk

About: Kateryna Kolesnyk is an Instrumental Music Instructor teaching students from 2nd until 12th grade levels. I teach 2nd and 3rd grades Recorder classes, 4th and 5th grades Violin and Guitar classes, MS and HS Band, Music Appreciation, and AP Music Theory classes. I was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine. I have a 15 years old daughter. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and hiking.

Education: A native of Kiev, Ukraine, I studied violin at Gliere Music College and the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music. I performed at the Internationale Beethovenfest and Young Euro Classic Festival. As an orchestra member, I performed with the Philharmonic Chorus of the City of Bonn as well as Bonn Opera Chorus under the baton of Roman Kofman. As a member of the Ukrainian National Radio Orchestra, I participated in the number of professional recordings. Currently, I am performing with regional orchestras in California. In 2013 I fulfilled my Masters Degree in Violin Performance at California State University, Northridge.
 
Teaching Since: I started to teach in 1997 in Ukraine. Since 2004 I was teaching in several Music schools and Academies in Los Angeles.

Teaching at Ribet Academy since: 2015.

Favorite part about Ribet Academy:  What I love about Ribet Academy is multiculturalism. I like to meet and work with people of different cultures and backgrounds. I love coming to work knowing that I can make a difference in a child’s life each day.
