Dance Class

This class is open to boys and girls with little or no dance experience. The program is designed to give the students the opportunity to explore moving with music. In their weekly classes students will learn jazz and tap skills appropriate to their skill level. The class joins the older students in the end of semester performance to show everyone what they have learned.

Competitive Hip-Hop Team

The students in Ribét’s Competitive Hip-Hop Dance Team practice, practice, practice. All that work has paid off with awards in many competitions. This is an after-school program for students who are serious about their dancing and want to take it to the next level. Students, and their parents, should also enjoy travelling as the team regularly travels to competitions in the area and in other states.

Auditions are held the first week of school and are open to all High School students and Middle School students with skill and experience. The team meets after school and on weekends to practice. While the program is fun and physical the students who participate also gain valuable skills for life learning to work as a team and depend on each other as this type of competition is about precision as a unit rather than “star” turns.
